Jade & Carla Gillies are true Southlanders, having lived and worked in Invercargill their whole lives. They met some seven years ago, fell in love, got engaged and tied the knot in Wanaka in December 2022. They have both travelled extensively throughout the UK, Europe and America, and in recent years have made an effort to get out and enjoy all that New Zealand has to offer. Consequently, their experiences booking and staying at holiday homes has been many and varied.

Living the quarter acre dream with them are their sons, Tiaki & Maiki, and their miniature Schnauzer puppies, Duke & Albie. Together they have a literal love of long walks on the beach, live music, theatre performances, travel, and sampling local food & wine (especially the sublime Bluff Oyster!).

Jade has been running his own events and entertainment company, Gillies Creative Ltd, since 2014. In a relatively short time, his business has managed around fifty events, developed several websites, published a number of books and run weekly drama classes for Southland students aged 8-18.

Carla has been working her way up through the world of Education for the past 15 years. Currently a Primary school Principal with a heart for people, she spends her days leading a wonderful team of staff and students in a rural school in Tuturau, Eastern Southland. Carla has a love and passion for learning, and is always ready to extend herself to meet new challenges.

Together Jade and Carla make a formidable team. Their combined skills promise to deliver a well-managed service for existing and potential owners, as well as providing a welcoming southern experience for visiting guests.
